If you haven’t seen Fast, Cheap & Out of Control, it’d make a fun night of viewing. It isn’t my favorite Errol Morris documentary, but it is one of the best naked mole rat/lion training/robotics/topiary documentaries there is.

One thing I have often heard, though I don’t have a source for it at the moment:
Barney Miller is the single most realistic cop show ever produced.
(The implication being that it captures perfectly the tedium and absurdity that makes up much of a police officer’s day.)
